Down With the Swine Hot Sauce is a collaboration with Gindo’s Spice of Life.
The husband and wife team of Chris and Mary Ginder — aka the Gindo’s — have been creating hot sauces in St. Charles, Ill. for the past decade. Why? To help inspire creativity in the kitchen and enhance food by adding flavor, aroma, color, texture, and nutrients.
Their mission of creating products to enhance food and using food to bring people together fits right in with ours, so we’ve teamed up to create this unique hot sauce.
Chris and his team took our best-selling Down With the Swine rub, which features a unique blend of maple sugar, bourbon-infused sea salt, and sriracha powder, and fused it with his own habanero pepper sauce blend. The result is a medium heat sauce that goes well on barbecue, breakfast, and everything in between.
Gindo’s sources its peppers and ingredients from local farms. Over the past decade, they have created hundreds of hot sauces. Their year-round sauces include Original, Jalapeno Poblano, and Honey Habanero. They also develop new recipes each month with limited releases, such as Garlic Parmesan, Strawberry Basil, and Processo Horseradish.
In addition, Gindo’s has a hot sauce of the month club. Customers can choose from one or three bottles a month, delivered right to their door.

It has a ton of flavor and just enough heat that give anything you make that something special, but doesn’t build and keep your mouth on fire like most hot sauce. You get all the flavor without any of the burn, the perfect blend. This needs to be a staple in our house.

A fan of the rubs and now this hot sauce blended with the Down with the Swine rub. Nice heat level. Not too much. Not too little. Balanced and can say that after soaking some chicken in the hot sauce as a marinade. Lordy, this stuff is the real deal. Glad i bought two bottles!!! Keep the good stuff coming. Highly recommended. We love the rubs, so decided to try out this hot sauce and it didn’t not disappoint! So far we’ve used it on chicken, eggs, mixed with ranch for dipping veggies, and even on pizza. It has the perfect flavor that mixes will with everything. It’s not over powering, but has the perfect punch and flavor!
