Bourbon Barrel Wood Chunks

Bourbon barrel wood chunks are the perfect gift for the whiskey drinker who loves smoking meat. Combining the best of both worlds, our Single Barrel Series is sourced directly from distilleries or distributors while our Barrel Aged Series is secured from breweries. Both series are cut and packaged by hand. All of them are made 100% out of white oak barrels that previously held whiskey from some of Kentucky’s top distilleries. You can see the barrel char and the whiskey penetration lines into the wood.

How do I use them?

Use them just as you would with regular oak chunks in your smoker. You only need a few chunks per smoke, so the bag lasts for several cooks. They impart a nice sweet smoke that smells fantastic. We personally use them all the time and they make a great gift for Father’s Day, birthdays, and Christmas.

What type of smoker will they work in?

Any grill or smoker that uses charcoal or real wood, such as a Big Green Egg, Kamado Joe, Weber Kettle, Weber Smokey Mountain, Masterbuilt Gravity Series, PK Grill, Pit Barrel, Cotton Gin, a stickburner, and more. They are small enough to work in some electric smokers that have a tray for wood chips, but they won’t work in most pellet smokers.

They are also perfect for use in the new Solo Stove Mesa tabletop fire pit! Not only do they fit just right and fuel the fire perfectly, but they also produce a heavenly smell.
